As of a few hours ago, TheBat made a fix to the preview window to the right. It no longer showed yesterday’s events in the preview window. The rest of the time, you are correct to see yesterday’s events in the preview window. We think it’s some sort of technical glitch and we hope it will resolve soon.

I didn’t realize that the text that is selected is pasted into a new document with the last action recorded. So now I have that in one macro for the last project, but one for the current project.

Anyway, I also checked out Easy Motion, and it works perfectly well. But, I don’t use it because it’s too expensive. I still use Speedbooster, and I recommend you try it if you want to take advantage of speedbooster’s many features.

Polar plot of function on interval

I would like to plot a function of the form $f(x)=\sqrt{x^2+y^2+z^2}$ on the polar axis (from $x=0$ to $x=2$). I have tried:
ParametricPlot3D[{f[x,y,z],x^2+y^2+z^2},{x,-2,2},{y,-2,2},{z,-2,2}]

but I don’t think this is quite right. I have also tried using Piecewise, but the error message I get using the option Condition is not used in this argument is weird.

If you want to plot the surface of a function on a rectangular grid, it is easier to use
ParametricPlot3D[{{x,y,z},f[x,y,z]^2},{x,-2,2},{y,-2,2},{z,-2,2}]

Beside the possibility to use RegionFunction and stuff like that, also the ParametricNDSolveValue option is a nice way to model the function for different parameters and then plot it:
